Skateboard Care 101
Keep Your Setup Fresh
Your board’s your ride, your canvas, your street weapon — so treat it right and it'll keep rolling smooth. Here’s how to keep your Atticus deck and gear in top shape:
🛹 Don’t Let It Get Soaked
Water is your board’s worst enemy. Wet decks = warped wood and messed up pop. If it’s raining, hit up a game of SKATE in the garage instead.
🔧 Tighten Up (But Not Too Tight)
Check your bolts and trucks every now and then. If things feel loose or wobbly in a sketchy way, grab a skate tool and tighten 'em up — just don’t overdo it or you’ll kill your flow.
🧽 Clean Those Bearings
Grit, dust, and grime slow you down. Pop your wheels off once in a while and clean the bearings with skate-safe cleaner (not water, duh). Keep 'em dry and spinning fast.
🚫 Chill With the Razor Tails
If you’re always slamming your tail, it’s gonna get sharp and thin (aka a “razor tail”). Try to land clean and avoid dragging the tail when you stop — your board will last way longer.
🧼 Grip Tape Gets Dirty Too
If your grip's looking crusty, grab a grip gum or soft wire brush and scrub off the dirt. It’s a vibe check for your board — clean grip = clean landings.
🏠 Store It Smart
Don’t leave your board in the trunk, on the porch, or in the rain. Hot cars and cold garages can warp the deck or mess with the glue. Keep it indoors like the legend it is.
Treat your board like your bestie — respect it, take care of it, and it’ll stick with you through every flip, fall, and ride.
